Mackey Advisory Corp. (“Mackey Advisory,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates this website at mackeyadvisory.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy describes the limited information we collect through the Site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information shared with us through a signed engagement letter or in the course of an advisory engagement is governed by the terms of that engagement and is not the subject of this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We have built the Site to collect as little personal information as practical.

Information you provide directly. If you contact us by email, we receive the contents of your message and your email address.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, records standard server log information necessary to deliver the Site. This typically includes your IP address, browser type and version, the page requested, the referring page, and the time of the request.

Browser storage. The Site stores a single value in your browser’s local storage to remember whether you have accepted or rejected our cookie notice. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking cookies of any kind.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, payment information, financial account information, or sensitive personal information through the Site.

2. How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above to:

• Respond to inquiries you send to us;
• Operate, maintain, and secure the Site;
• Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not engage in behavioral advertising.

3. Service Providers

The Site relies on a small number of service providers to function:

• Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery, DNS, and security. Processes IP addresses and request metadata.
• Google Fonts: loads the Inter typeface used across the Site. Google may receive standard request information when the font is fetched.
• Font Awesome (cdnjs): loads icon fonts used in the menu and Services section.

We have no other third-party tracking, analytics, or advertising integrations on the Site. When you click an outbound link to LinkedIn, Substack, X, or any other external service, you leave the Site and the destination’s privacy practices apply.

4. Cookies and Browser Storage

The Site uses one item of browser local storage:

• cookieConsent: stores whether you have accepted or rejected the cookie notice. Contains no personal information.

You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for mackeyadvisory.com.

5. Data Retention

We retain inquiry emails for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and follow up on your message, after which we archive or delete them in accordance with our internal retention practices. Cloudflare server logs are retained according to Cloudflare’s policies.

6. Your Rights

Residents of certain US states have rights regarding their personal information under applicable state privacy laws.

California (CCPA / CPRA). California residents have the right to know what personal information we have collected about them, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information), to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect any), and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Other states. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have similar rights, including the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal information.

7. Children

The Site is intended for adult business owners and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the limited personal information we hold. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Visitors

The Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from outside the United States, you understand that information about you may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Effective date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page; continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
